Louise Kanjee
Louise Kanjee has been working in the field of health and healing since her 20s. She has a deep concern in supporting people through difficult times. Her passion is for healing and for finding peace within the self as a means to bringing more peace to the world as a whole.
Life experiences have played a part in this – having struggled with her own physical and mental health issues she pursued a path of self healing through meditation, natural therapies and more and from her own experiences of transformation and healing felt it was a life mission to bring these experiences to others.
In 2021 Louise graduated from Pathways Institute with a Graduate Diploma in Trauma-Informed Process Work Psychotherapy – a counselling modality which is holistic and person-centred as well as spiritual and shamanic in its approach. She is bringing this to her already wide range of offerings as a practitioner of healing arts. She is continuing to update her qualifications and is currently enrolled in a Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy at ACAP. Her life experiences continue to enhance her practise as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist and recent major losses of her partner and soulmate as well as her father have given her greater insight in to the experience of grief and loss.
Louise is also a fully qualified and registered Homeopath having graduated from Endeavour College of Natural Health in 2012 with an Advanced Diploma in Homeopathy.
She says: I have a love of homeopathy and natural medicine, having used it myself for many years for endometriosis, fibroids and chronic headaches. I have been in practice for over 10 years and work with people from all backgrounds and ages.
I have a special interest in the use of homeopathy for women’s health including infertility, endometriosis and other conditions for which there are not a lot of medical options. I have also gained experience through my clinical practice in working with children’s health and mental health – especially anxiety and sleep problems.
I also taught Homeopathy to Naturopathy students at WEA Academy of Complementary Health in Newcastle NSW in 2014 and 2015.
I am experienced in the use of flower essences such as Bach flowers and often incorporate them in my treatment plans.
I have been meditating since 1995, starting with Raja Yoga meditation and since then have practised a variety of techniques. I have found meditation to be of such benefit personally that I have committed my life to enabling others to experience the same benefits.
I studied Peace Studies at the University of Bradford and came away from that with a strong sense that the only way to achieve world peace is by starting with the individual. I find personally that the only way to achieve inner peace is through a commitment to practice of daily meditation.
I run regular meditation and women’s circles, offering a range of meditation techniques but coming from an ethos of connecting with the essence of who we all are and connecting that to Goddess and Universal energy.
I have also led a number of meditation courses in women’s groups and centres both in the UK and Australia. I am available to lead retreats and weekend workshops based on principles of shamanism, meditation and self esteem, as well as principles of natural healing.
I am a Reiki Master trained under the Tanran Reiki system and have a great interest in energy and crystal healing. I use techniques of Crystal shamanism and sound healing in my sessions as well as traditional Usui Reiki healing. My passion is to empower you to feel able to heal your self and to find techniques and remedies for you to live a well life.
